Kevin Schofield at the Herald is reporting of some unrest in Labour in regards to the commission for further powers for the Scottish Parliament. I wonder how damaging this will be for the Labour Party. The Scottish Tories have been pillored for being "the English party" but we are fully behind this commission and now it becomes quite clear that Labour are not.

did anyone actually think this commision now review/working group?) was going to go anywhere? Before the election slab were not interested in more powers for scotland. They have been forced into it rather than actually wanting to change anything. Gordon Brown will take control of it and the unionist leaders are going to look stupid and on a tight leash from westminster. Of all the scottish mps the labour ones have the most to lose here so it isn't surprising they are voicing opposition. Bring on a civil war, it will be entertaining to watch labour implode.
Not to mention the other civil war between Mags Curran and Frank McAveety as their constituency seats are merged into 1.
Keep in mind Labour don't put their 'lead performers' (that phrase comes dripping in irony) on the lists...
So Pie Man or the Wicked Witch of the West shall be exiting stage right before too long...
Scottish Tory Boy, you have a cheek. Don't you realise that the vast majority of tory grassroots members are opposed to any further powers for the scots parliament, opposition which spilled over at a recent meeting of the scots tory council?
Anonymous, my point was that the Tory party support further powers whilst the Labour party appears to not support further powers. I have heard nothing of this meeting you refer to but say it did then it doesn't take anything away from my point that the party support further powers as your point argues that the members do not.
